The problem
Direct transactions between individuals or small businesses lack mutual guarantee. The buyer fears paying without receiving, the seller fears delivering without being paid. The product needed to make this trust mechanism legible and simple for users unfamiliar with financial escrow.
Constraints
The product handled real money, so every screen had to inspire confidence and reduce transactional anxiety while remaining usable by a non-technical audience. Clarity of transaction status at every step was critical, since ambiguity here could directly cost the user money.
My role
UI/UX Designer, freelance, for a repeat client. Designed the complete journey across three key screens: app opening with biometric identification and PIN code, transaction dashboard and creation, statistics, and dispute management.
Key decisions
Escrow over direct payment.
Rather than an immediate direct payment between the two parties, funds sent by the client are held by the platform until the service is validated through a defined procedure, then released to the provider. This architecture removes risk on both sides at once: the client cannot lose money without a guarantee, the provider cannot be short-changed after delivering.
This was reinforced with biometric authentication at app opening, anchoring trust before the first transaction even happens.
Solution
A complete journey: opening with Face ID or PIN code, transaction dashboard and creation, status tracking, statistics, and dispute management in case of disagreement. Design centered on trust, transaction clarity, and ease of use.

Evidence
A complete, functional Figma file covering the full journey: authentication, transaction, dispute, statistics.
The client came back for three further projects across completely different domains, a direct signal of satisfaction with the work delivered.
Outcome
The design work resulted in a payment experience centered on trust and transparency. Through clear information hierarchy across each payment stage, PayPro makes the escrow mechanism easier to understand, letting users track the status of their transaction before funds are released.
Reflection
With PayPro, the challenge was designing a financial experience that made a complex payment process easy to understand. A central piece was the escrow logic itself: money can be sent, but it is not immediately transferred to the recipient. It stays secured while the service is carried out, following a validation process before release. My role was to turn that financial mechanism into a clear, reassuring, transparent journey, so every user could understand where their money was and at which stage of the process their payment stood.
